After 2020 was marked by a decrease in fee receipts as a result of the COVID-19-related lockdown, receipts rebounded in 2021. On average, 78% of costs reported for the four selected task areas were financed through fees (2020: 75%). This corresponds to prepandemic financing levels. The growth in receipts was driven mainly by the road transportation offices and legal affairs domains.
