Switzerland’s public finances
Financial statistics provide an overview of Switzerland’s public finances. They cover the Confederation, cantons, communes and social security funds, and allow their financial situation to be compared. Information on the federal budget and how it is managed is available under “Federal finances”.

Financial statistics
The Federal Finance Administration's financial statistics provide a comprehensive overview of the financial position of the Confederation, cantons, municipalities and social security funds.

Data & Analyses
Financial statistics enable Switzerland’s public finances to be compared and analysed. To this end, the FFA publishes data and special analyses relating to the Confederation, the cantons, the municipalities and the social insurance schemes.

Methods
The Federal Finance Administration's financial statistics are based on internationally recognised models such as the International Monetary Fund's GFS Model and the FS Model for national comparisons. The models are regularly adjusted to ensure data quality and comparability.
