During its meeting on 1 May 2024, the Federal Council adopted the postulate report on managing restricted expenditure in the long term and making it more flexible. In this report, it sets out the development and cost drivers of strictly earmarked expenditure and shows ways of increasing flexibility when budgeting for restricted expenditure.
